The FHIR API was the wrong door. This tests the endpoint behind Cigna's own provider search — the one that returned a doctor with real networks attached. One question only: will it answer when the request comes from your site instead of from Cigna's. Hosted address, not from disk.
What the outcomes mean. Green: the endpoint answers other sites, and the provider search can be built into the tool directly. Red with "Failed to fetch": it answers Cigna's own pages only, and reaching it needs a small proxy service in between. Red with a status code like 403: a firewall is turning us away on purpose, and a proxy would likely be turned away too. Either red is a real answer, not a dead end — they just cost different amounts to work around.
